Welder (Temporary to Permanent)

About Our Client

Our client is a manufacturing plant of metal components for so many things we use daily – tractors, cars, machines, forklifts etc. They are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow in the warehouse that does metal cutting, forming, welding and assembly – but you would be working with our welding team because you have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience!

What You Will Be Doing, as a Welder:

  • Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
  • Perform welding duties in accordance with work instructions and inspection sheets, and technical drawings.
  • Understand and comply with Company Health & Safety standards and programs. Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery
  • Melting the metal into shape.
  • Reviewing blueprints
  • Cutting metal into the appropriate shape
  • Smoothing molten metal to remove creases
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Should Have, as a Welder:

  • Welding Certificate or Diploma
  • Valid welding ticket
  • 2-3 years of welding/fitting experience
  • Able to do robot welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs.

In Return, You Will Receive:

  • $22.00 - $24.00 hourly (based on experience, could be negotiated)
  • Paid weekly, every Friday.
  • Opportunity for permanent hire
  • 4% vacation pay.
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Days: 6:00am to 2:00pm
  • Afternoons: 2:00pm to 12:00pm

Where You Will Be Working, as a Welder:

  • Bronte Road & Speers Road (Oakville)
  • Bus accessible
