Team Leader/Construction – Saskatoon, SK - Permanent

About Our Client: Our client is a family-lead construction company, well known for their personable approach in servicing clients for over 50 years. They sell and repair steel grain bins, grain dryers and accessories and are specialized in residential and commercial projects. This role is for a self-motivated individual who values workmanship. You will be required to go on the road with the grain bin division. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks; from general labour, to installing equipment, fans, air ducts and dryers, to loading and unloading construction materials, to pilot driving, to grain bin deliveries and set-ups.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Team Leader:

  • Responsible for managing the work flow independently, and with others.
  • Responsible for completing given tasks within a timely manner.
  • Responsible for planning wide load routes within the city’s traffic control restrictions.
  • Staying out of town for an extended period may be required.
  • Incorporating a strong sense of workmanship and leadership.
  • Travelling to different job sites (company vehicle provided).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights – Confident with hand and power tools.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures (Safety Regulations).

What You Should Have, as a Team Leader:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Experience with using hand tools and power tools.
  • 2-3 years of experience within the construction industry.
  • Must be willing to travel to different job sites (company vehicle provided).
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, own vehicle for transportation to and from the HQ.
  • PPE: CSA safety boots, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, safety vest. Required.
  • Physically fit (Must be able to lift 100 lbs).
  • Ability to lift heavy loads, climb ladders, work at heights (WAH Certificate).
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to travel.

The following is not required, but will be considered an asset:

  • Forklift experience
  • Stiff boom crane or knuckle boom crane experience
  • Class 1A driver’s license
  • Rigging experience

What You Will Receive as a Team Leader:

  • $25.00 / Per hour
  • Onsite parking
  • Company vehicle

The Shift You Will Be Working is:

  • Monday - Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm (Hours vary based on tasks)
  • 8-hour - 12-hour shifts, given half days to make up for the longer shifts.
