We are currently looking for a Millwright for one of our clients. This position would be a full-time permanent position. A successful candidate will act as the company representative on-site and communicate directly with the customer to provide support and direction for their pile driving equipment. The site is located in the country of Columbia where they are building a bridge project. This position is mostly an advisory role with some assistance for repairs undertaken as needed. Candidates must be prepared to be on-site for months at a time and being fluent in Spanish and English is strongly prioritized.

Successful applicants will undergo 3-4 weeks of training before travelling to site and will have support in place to help with any issues. Candidates must have great communication skills as they will be advising and teaching on operation and maintenance of the equipment. The ability to work autonomously and solve problems are key aspects of this position. This is a direct hire position to the company and is ideal for someone who enjoys travel and responsibility.

Job Duties for Millwright:
Act as the company representative on-site for the equipment being operated
Communicate with head office, liaising with engineering and maintenance personnel as needed
Advise the customer and assist in providing and teaching how to repair
Keep daily service records
Understanding and interpreting the use of proximity sensors and related wiring to detect failures
Using computer software to diagnose problems
Always working safely and advising on safety measures and procedures

Pay for Millwright:
$28.00 to $30.00 per hour
Will be paid 84 straight hours per week
Transportation, Food and Accommodations provided

Hours of Work:
Hours of work will be variable, expected to work 6 days a week
Shift lengths can vary from 6 to 12 hours per day
Return home trips/length of return is variable – to be negotiated
Candidates will be expected to be on site up to a few months at a time

Requirements for Millwright:
Able to work in foreign country – Valid Passport
Millwright license or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience with hydraulics and mechanical systems
Heavy equipment repair experience an asset
Able to work in a hot climate
Capable of using communications technology and software
Fluent in Spanish and English
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills
Able to work autonomously
